Fashion Week: between New York and Milan, what the brands are showing us in their autumn-winter 2024/2025

Fashion weeks are in full flow, so let's find out what the biggest brands are launching as trends for the fall/winter 2024/2025 season. 

“Don't get me wrong, take me to New York.” So let's go, New York, New York!! 

Another article on what happened in our “fashion world” at the main fashion weeks. Here we'll follow what attracted the attention of the main brands that showed at Fashion Week in New York. 

Michael Kors

During the event, the company took first position in social media engagement. The runway began with a spiral staircase, down which the models descended to the part where the public was present. We saw different types of blazers, in the “boss life” style, minimalist silhouettes and the colors that stood out were: black, grey, pink and earthy tones.

Tommy Hilfiger

We couldn't fail to highlight the return of Tommy Hilfiger after two years away from New York Fashion Week. In returning, designer Tommy Hilfiger pointed out that New York City taught him to dream big and that, in this show, he tried to translate the culture of trust and openness to opportunities that he feels in this city. On the show runways, we saw the main colors that represent the “American dream” such as blue, white and red. We also saw oversized blazers with pin brooches, relaxed suits and long pleated skirts with belts.

Altuzarra

Our last selected brand is Altuzarra, by French designer Joseph Altuzarra, who showed a mix of urban and modern on the runway. Straight pants were worn with blazers, as well as ruffled collars and cuffs. The colors used were black, white, earthy tones and, in some pieces, red and yellow.

Gucci

The teaser image for Sabato de Sarno's Gucci show opened with a red diary with the phrase “Follow your heart”. And with that, the designer showed his passions for outerwear, from subtle to extravagant models. Sabato also brought luxurious and strong accessories to the show.

Burberry

The brand's creative director is the British Daniel Lee and for this season's collection he showed his love for traces of British nature. The runway was formed by an artificial lawn and pieces in shades of organic colors, as references to the landscapes of England. The soundtrack for the show was songs by British singer Amy Winehouse, with snippets saying: “I love London...The smell of London when it rains”, completing the aesthetic tribute to England's love of nature.

Dolce&Gabbana

The brand chose a collection that was practically monochrome, with pieces ranging from oversized jackets to cropped tops. It also chose to mix textures such as mesh, velvet and lace. The main color was black, but some pieces also had details in metallic tones.
